NMT Clubs
The "Strip Club" meets the third Saturday of the month or the following Monday. The Strip Club is a group that meets to work on their "strip" quilt. The response has been fantastic and the club great fun! In addition to the regular classes and clubs the calendars are full of new class offerings. The classes include several different quilts, BOM Clubs, things for your home, and new Sewing 101 for beginner sewers. Check the calender for details. Sign up early.The new Block of the Month is called Antique Christmas Memories Quilt. It just began the beginning of March and will be completed by the beginning of December. Only 6 more kit spots are available. The cost is $15.00 per kit and by the time all 12 kits are purchased you will have also gotten all the fabrics you need to complete the quilt top, to include the sashings and borders. We provide a demo on the block construction on a scheduled day each month. It's offered four times that day so you can plan to attend one session. We've added a few other twists to the BOM experience, but you need to come in or call about the details. The quilt is made using Nancy Halvorsen's Star of Wonder fabrics. It's sure to make a great addition to your Christmas collections or would make a fantastic Christmas gift.
The Machine Embroidery Club meets the third Tuesday of the month. A project is planned for each meeting and should incorporate new techniques or review previously learned techniques. Sign up and share some of your experiences and projects, too.
Strip Club
The Strip Club is always the third Saturday of the month from 10:30-2:00. There is no fee for the Club, (you just purchase the kit) and we even provide lunch!The turnout has been incredible, so we added a second day. Monday following the third Saturday is the time chosen. The next new quilt will begin in June.
We have already had people sign up for the April 2008 Strip Club, so now is not too early to reserve your spot. All skill levels are encouraged to come. You will have a blast!
